Equate your setup reduction to cost savings:
The Supplier Development Engineer will estimate the overall savings
due to the set-up reduction project, and review this information with the
Supply Management Engineer.
Initiate cost reduction negotiations:
The Supplier Development Engineer (or Supply Management Engineer if applicable) will negotiate a cost reduction due to the efforts of the set-up reduction project.
It is also important to acknowledge the efforts of the participants.
It is usually not out of place to place rewards and recognition through
out a supplier development project to encourage further participation.
Simple things such as a plaque of recognition and a simple lunch will usually
do the trick.
